Story:


Aayiram Poi is a comedy film where Ravi (Jayashankar) seeing Malathi's (Vanishree's) photo in a newspaper decides that if at all he marries he will marry only Malathi.  Muthu (Cho) who is the friend of Ravi falls in love with Lilly (Manoramma).  Both enter their lovers house telling lies.  Meanwhile a costly necklace is in the house of Manoramma.  A rowdy group keeps an eye on this costly necklace and plan to loot it from Manoramm's house.  Both the rowdy and Cho enter Manoramma's house disguising themselves as Doctor.


In Vanishree's house they vehemently are against giving their daughter to Ravi due to a family dispute.  Ravi enters Vanishree's house telling some lie and they don't recognise him to be their enemies son.  He is successful in getting the love of Vanishree.  On the other side Cho is also successful in getting the love of Manoramma.  Now only the marriage has to take place.


The climax is all about the necklace which passes hands. Vanishree and Cho fall into the hands of the rowdies and they reveal the place of neclace.  The necklace passes into the hands of rowdies.  Now Jayshankar has to rescue them and get hold of the necklace.  The fight starts now...the necklace bag is thrown in the air and it passes hands...the usual masala.

Namitha(Tamil: நமிதா) was born on May 10, 1980, in Surat, Gujarat, India. Namita Mukesh Vankawala is a Punjabi-speaking girl belonging to Kapoor family. Namitha is an Indian actress, and has acted in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam & English films.

Namitha was crowned Miss Surat during the year 1998. She was a contestant in the 2001 Miss India pageant. This publicity opened up doors for her and she did a number of TV commercials like Himani cream & hand soap, Arun Ice Cream, Manikchand Gutka, and Nile herbal shampoo.

Namitha's made her acting debut in the Telugu film Sontham. Then she acted in Tamil film "Aai" and thereafter she acted in a number of films.

One of the film she played a lead role is Jaganmohini.

Jaganmohini is a Tamil language film released in 2009. It is remake of the B. Vittalacharya cult horror film of the same name. It stars Namitha, Raja and Nila in the lead roles. It is directed by N. K. Vishwanathan.[1] It was simultaneously dubbed into Telugu with the same name.
