Sharat Kumar in his younger age is chased away by his father since he is hermaphrodite (In biology, a hermaphrodite is an organism that has reproductive organs normally associated with both male and female sexes). A muslim brings him up and gives his name as Kanchana. So Kanchana gets a new family to live with. Kanchana has a sister and she is sent to U.S. for studying doctor. Kanchana buys a big ground so that when she returns back a big hospital could be built there.

One day some affluent land grabber tries to claim the property by tenting there. Kanchana comes there and kicks them out. As she goes to the villian's house he tricks Kanchana and kills him. Along with him he kills his mentally retarded brother and his baba who had brought him up. Kanchana dies unable to save her brother and baba his father. But they want to take revenge.

They desperately need a body to enter and take their revenge. They find Lawrence the hero of the film who though is brave but is afraid of spirits. When Lawrence family members come to know that a spirit has entered the body of Lawrence they bring in some Muslim spirit chasers and chase the spirit away.
